Gay Men’s Health Crisis
Founded in 1981, Gay Men’s Health Crisis is the nation’s oldest AIDS organization providing direct services for over 15,000 men, women, and families living with HIV and AIDS annually. GMHC’s services are free of charge and are provided in an atmosphere of absolute confidentiality. Services are provided regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin.
AIDS remains the nation’s greatest public health emergency, and GMHC remains a pioneering force in fighting the epidemic. There are more than one million people living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. and more than 40 million people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide.
